Nov. 17, 2025 yáqʷa Development Corporation is pleased to announce the finalization of an agreement with Chevron Canada last month, that will see permits and other assets related to Kitimat LNG be transferred under our control for the sole benefit of Haisla Nation. Chevron has worked with the Haisla Nation since 2011 to pursue the development of an LNG facility at Bish Cove. New logo unveiled for Gizuá Market
yáqʷa Development Corporation is proud to unveil the logo for Gizuá Market, a new market concept located in the former Sunrise General Store building in the heart of x̄á’isla Village. yáqʷa announced its purchase last year of the Sunrise building. As part of the acquisition, yáqʷa launched a call for artists to help rebrand the store and reinforce x̄á’isla culture. Submissions were reviewed by the yáqʷa team and Haisla Nation and selected x̄á’isla artist Teresa Windsor’s logo.
