Position Overview
The Haisla Gas Bar is managed by yáqʷa Development Corporation.
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager (or equivalent), the Gas Bar Attendants uphold our values and are a friendly face, providing excellent service to our customers. Duties include:
- Greet customers and assist with fueling their vehicles
- Operate the cash register and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Restock merchandise
- Manage Fuel Pumps
- Provide customer service and help address customer concerns or complaints
- Maintain and clean all Service Areas
- Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, safety and security
- Willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Qualifications
- Confident communications skills both internally and with customers/suppliers
- Basic math skills for dealing with sales
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations for handling fuel and other hazardous materials is considered an asset
- Reliable
- Honest
- Ability to work weekends/evenings and holidays
Working Conditions
- This is an on-call position, based in Kitimat, BC
